The recent rebound of the epidemic coupled with the adverse weather have made it hard and inconvenient for the elderly with chronic diseases to go out. The “Success Base Angels Team” joined a charity campaign held by Good Neighbour Network of the United Christian Nethersole Community Health Service to pack gift bags with food and grocery products and deliver them to chronic disease patients in Sau Mau Ping.
Although an amber rainstorm warning signal was hoisted on that day, the voluntary team continued to carry out their “care mission” and delivered all gift bags to the target households. The volunteers were glad to see the elderly showing happiness and gratitude after receiving the gifts. We hope that this will inspire everyone to share their love and care with neighbors and build communities with mutual help.
