Success Base Engineering Limited has adhered to the principle of “giving back to the community”, which enables us to actively exercise social responsibilities over the years.
Donations to people in the Sham Shui Po area who are under financial pressure to provide food assistance are of great significance. By combining sports and food donation, more than 30 staff and their family members had participated in the "Monchhichi x HUNGER RUN 2019" at Tseung Kwan O on 13th October 2019 (Sunday). All burnt calories from the participants would be converted into the equivalent amount of calories worth of food for donation to the needed ones.
Although the temperature was 31 degrees on the day of the event, and there was a heavy rain in that morning, the runway was a bit slippery. Everyone still enjoyed the running under the pleasant scenery of the Tseung Kwan O Waterfront and the east coast of Hong Kong Island. The relaxing run helped to strengthen the body and lighten up the mood. The event venue was teemed with a thematic food carnival, booth games and Monchhichi photo corners, therefore participants continued to enjoy the atmosphere and relax after the run. A total of 1,073,278 kcal were raised for donation to J Life Foundation, serving the family with needs in Sham Shui Po.
This is the 5th HUNGER RUN event since 2015, aiming to create a platform to encourage the public build a healthy life style, at the same time, to create a sustainable calories (food) drive activities to address hunger and social issues through sports and volunteer services.
